Seeds by Be Kind SG (pilot) aims to provide young adults with special needs and their caregivers equal opportunities to participate fully in life and provide a sense of purpose and meaning. We will expose them to a variety of age-appropriate art and life skill lessons to explore their hidden potentials and strengths to support their independent living. This program also supports their caregivers to explore their aspirations and improve their mental well-being.
Our activities
-
In collaboration with Just Love Crafts, our parent-youth pairs learned the craft of quilling using upcycled magazine papers. In December 2021, we held a mini-exhibition in library @ orchard
-
Our parent-youth pairs put together moss plants to sell during festive seasons. Some of them picked up new skills like painting pebbles which were sold together with the moss plants.
-
We collaborated with Baguette 65 to organize a series of customized baking workshops for our caregivers. They learned to bake artisan bread for their families.
